md5sum is a program that generates 128-bit checksums of a list of files.

If you have a problem opening or running a file downloaded from our site, checking the md5sum can tell you if the problem is in the file itself, or if data has been corrupted during the transfer. Download the md5sum.txt file into the same folder as the downloaded files you want to check.

Check for validity with 'md5sum -c md5sum.txt'
